This six-week After Effects (AE) animation course is designed for beginners looking to master the software from scratch. The curriculum is divided into three main sections: AE Basics, AI Basics, and Formal Lessons.
In the AE Basics section, you’ll start with an introduction to the interface and learn how to import materials, navigate the toolbar, manage the timeline, and understand layer properties. You’ll also delve into techniques for using masks and shape layers, and get hands-on experience creating animations.
The AI Basics section covers essential tools in Adobe Illustrator, including text manipulation and Boolean operations, which are crucial for creating vector graphics used in AE projects.
The Formal Lessons segment includes practical exercises like creating summer-themed animations, designing a funfair ride, and exploring underwater scenes. Throughout the course, there are several sessions dedicated to reviewing student work, providing feedback, and ensuring you’re on track to develop your skills.
By the end of the course, you will have a solid foundation in AE and will be able to create your own animations with confidence.
